Christmas Holidays

This holiday season has been by far my biggest ever, in terms of the number of portraits I've been asked to do for my wonderful friends and clients. Amazing, thank you all so much.  

The holiday gift projects started this year in September, with many kicking off in October. I am finishing up the last three I'm able to complete this week, and several more will begin right after the holidays.

The most common size for gift giving this year by far was the 8x8", followed by the 8x10". A few 5x7" portraits were requested, and it had been a while since I painted that size, and I remembered how much I like that versatile format... it really forces me to work small and detailed... and that is a good thing. It's kind of cathartic in a way...

I hope there are a lot of happy faces when they get to see their pets as art on Christmas this year.  This is a great joy for me, and this project seems to keep me out of trouble too, so thank you all for your requests this year.
